Did you know you can find Elisa's music on itunes, amazon, and Tower Records? |
It's been an uncommonly warm winter here in New York. This works well for my daily life, as I'm finding myself less and less inclined towards cold. But, it also makes me wonder what the impact of all this warmth is. It seems like, however unpleasant some things are, variety is a good thing. It's been a long week, so I'll keep myself from philosophizing too much and get down to business. I've been booking shows, and there are shows to come and see. The biggest news is that I will be playing with a new band on April 7th at the Knitting Factory in New York City. Please save that date. Other bookings includes shows in Providence, Philadelphia, Chicago, Iowa City, and Minneapolis. I'm planning to spend March and April touring around the northeast to celebrate my departure for points west in late April when I'll be heading along the east-west axis between NYC and Minneapolis. The songwriters showcase night I hosted in January at Kavehaz is now officially a monthly series, and I'll be sharing hosting duties with the New York City songwriter Meredith Blis. Tuesday night it'll be a night of extremely talented male songwriters and me. Come by to check out Adam Bernstein, Richard Bliwas, and David Budway. As I haven't been travelling too much this past month, I've been spending these short, sometimes-cold days preparing for my trip west. I've been reading about Otter Tail County, MN, Fargo, ND, and Wyoming. Did you know that there is a museum of SPAM in Minnesota? And it's not the electronic kind either. I've also been taking in good fiction--one of my personal addictions in addition to good chocolate and cake. Until next time, be well. |
