When I was in college, the month of February was so dreaded that a committee called the "Feb Club" existed specifically to make sure that there would be a party for every night of the deceptively short month. Good news, ladies and gentleman, we have made it to March. The sun is out longer, the lion holds a promise of the lamb, and I'm one month closer to heading out west to write and perform for eight weeks.. This month holds three special gigs out east. First, on the 7th, the Kavehaz songwriters' circle is going to be a particular treat this month as I share the stage with three talented songwriters who can't help but accompany one another, and for this gig, I'll be joining in. It will be an opportunity to hear talented musicians playing with one another to make good music even better. Second, a trip out to my seasonal residency at the SoNo Caffeine coffee shop in South Norwalk, CT. Finally, an incredible opportunity for me to perform in Philadelphia with some huge talents. I'm honored to be selected as one of four songwriters performing as part of the Lansdowne Folk Club's Female Songwriter Showcase. Other performers include rising stars Liz Carlisle, Anais Mitchelle, and Colleen McFarland. If you haven't heard them yet, keep your ears out for them. SAVE THE DATE: Keep your calendars open for Friday April 7th to hear my new band perform songs from Favorite, plus a few new ones, at the Knitting Factory in New York City. |

This is a songwriters circle,
where I will be doing my own material as well as collaborating with the
other artists. Who are: Susan Kane—gorgeous voice, heartfelt songs;
Steve Kirkman—multi-instrumentalist, cool rootsy songs, strong and
groovy; and Rich Deans—great songwriter with a twangy bent. Although
Kavehaz is in the city, you should know that you can park on the street
right nearby. It’s in a commercial district where the parking opens
up at 6pm and 7pm. |
