I write you from back in New York City--returning here has been quite a transition from my weeks of songwriting out in the rural American heartland. It's taken me a couple weeks to get used to the constant bustle.

I'm excited to be gearing up to a summer full of performances, many of them festivals. This month will include performances in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

I'm also pleased to announce that I was selected as a finalist in the songwriting competition hosted by Solarfest, and I'll be performing in the final round at the festival on July 16th.

If any of you would like to host a house concert--which is really just a party where I'd come and entertain your guests--I'd be happy to help you set one up.

I hope that summer is treating all of you well, and I look forward to seeing you on the road.

 I'm a finalist in the Solarfest Songwriting Competition, so I'll be performing on the main stage with the other finalists between 11:30am and 1pm, and then doing a second set later that afternoon between 2 and 4pm. The headliner is Dar Williams, and there are many other incredible musical acts from around the world.
