Hello from Wyoming!

I write you from the Ucross Foundation artist residency in Ucross, Wyoming. I've been given the luxury of spending two weeks here where all I have to do is write songs and stare at the beautiful Wyoming scenery. This luxury is an abundance of riches after my previous four weeks of writing and performing in rural Minnesota.

I'll keep my comments brief in this newsletter, as I've been keeping a blog where I've been recording the highlights of my stay out west. If you'd like to read more, check out my blog. In case you're not sure whether you want to read further, let me just say that my blog includes descriptions of a three-day canoe trip on the Crow Wing river, my meeting with real-life Hobos who have retired from the rails and live communally in a house in Staples, Minnesota, two dinners with a new friend who lived for ten years in a Buddhist monastery in Sri Lanka, as well as a slew of pictures and links to many of the new songs I've written while out here. My blog is also accessible via my website.

June brings performances in the Badlands national park in South Dakota, as well as at a resort on the north shore of Lake Superior. I'll be back east at the end of the month with shows in NJ and NY.
