It's a quiet month
for performances, but stay tuned for fall gigs in CT, OH, PA, and France! Acoustic New
York City Gig on Monday July 18th with loads of new songs
and the amazing Niall James
Holohan from Ireland! I was touched and pleased by the turnout to the Favorite CD Release Party last month. Thank you to all of you who were able to come out--it was a joy to be able to perform for such an enthusiastic audience. It was also a thrill to play with an incredible band--look out for more full-band performances in the future. If you weren't able to make it to the party, you can always get the CD online here. My record label, Edgy and Elegant Music, is now sending the CD out to radio and television/film licensers. If you know anyone who might be interested in the album, please let me know. I recently wrote a tune about identity theft called "Misnomer" which was inspired by my previous life in the technology field. My friend Paul Madsen, who writes a technical blog on identity theft, posted the lyrics to "Misnomer" on his blog here. Paul is a hilarious and incisive technical and social critic. His blog is worth reading for his commentary alone--especially for those of you geeks out there. I just spent a week at "Song Camp"--sort of like summer camp for songwriters--where I was privileged to work with and learn from twenty-five extraordinary songwriters. I already have a whole new batch of songs just itching to be performed. I'll be performing a good number of them at this month's only NYC gig Monday, July 18th when I have the privilege to perform with the Irish Powerhouse Niall James Holohan, AKA the Dark Prince of Pop. |
